Tipperary's main hospital – along with many others around the country – has seen a major increase in the number of patients being cared for on trolleys and chairs in recent months.
Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation regularly show in excess of 20 patients who have been admitted from the Clonmel facility's Emergency Department are without a bed.
This number has risen above 40 at times.
Local Independent TD and former hospital administrator Seamus Healy will be highlighting what he says is an obvious ready made solution in the Dáil.
Meanwhile, the Health Minister's revealed an increase of almost 7% in the numbers attending accident and emergency departments in the first three months of the year.
Leo Varadkar's told the Dáil that despite the pressures the vast majority of people are being seen in a “reasonable” time.
But Fianna Fáil says part of the problem is that GP's can't cope with the pressure from free visits to under 6's and that's why A and E's are getting busier.
