South Tipp suicide prevention plan launches today

A suicide prevention plan tailored for South Tipp is being launched in Clonmel today.

The Mental Health Minister Helen McEntee is launching Connecting for Life South Tipperary at the Main Guard this afternoon.

It’s part of a national plan being rolled out by the HSE but is made up of 53 action points based directly on the feedback from local focus groups and community organisations.

Tracy Nugent is the Regional Resource Officer for Suicide Prevention and has put a lot of work into the plan – she says focus groups and public meetings in South Tipp helped in developing the plan.
