The Social Democrats are holding a meeting in Hayes Hotel in Thurles this Saturday.
The political party’s gathering is hoping to set up a branch in Tipperary ahead of the local elections at the end of May.

The new party will have 58 candidates contending for seats on local councils across the country.
Party Volunteer, Thomas Ryan, told Tipp Today’s Fran Curry of his hopes for the Social Democrats.
