SIPTU workers at Irish Rail have voted in favor of cost-cutting measures at the company.

Members voted by 71 to 29 percent to accept the measures proposed by the Labour Relations Commission.

The dispute over temporary pay cuts and cost-saving measures led to a two day strike in August.

SIPTU says they now expect Iarnrod Eireann and the Government to live up to commitments they made in the mediation process.
