Work on the project will start early in 2013 with this funding an integral part of its development.

This is the largest amount given to any sporting application in the country under the Government's Sports Capital Grants Programme.

The funding will provide for an upgrade of the changing facilities and the gym at  Nenagh's Leisure Centre and  will also provide for a skate board park, a track, a keep fit area and outdoor gym amongst a range of other facilities.
