Significant overcrowding at UHL

56 people are being treated on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick today.

They are among 232 patients who have been admitted to hospitals around the country but have been left without a bed.

Once again UHL – which serves North Tipp, Limerick and Clare – is the most overcrowded health facility.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation is also reporting two people are being cared for on trolleys at South Tipp General in Clonmel today.
