It's beaten off stiff competition from both at home and abroad to secure the Best International Access Initiative Award from the Irish Tourist Industry Confederation.
The Mid West Airport had been shortlisted for the accolade alongside the likes of Aer Lingus, Air Canada Vacations and the DAA but secured victory.
