Three days had been set aside for the medical negligence case but it’s understood the matter was settled out of court last week.
Savita Halappanavar died in University Hospital Galway a week after she was admitted in October 2012.
She was 17 weeks pregnant and told she was going to lose her baby.
There was still a foetal heartbeat so her requests for a termination were turned down.
During her inquest, a consultant denied telling Savita it was because Ireland was a catholic country and said she'd actually told her she didn't see a threat to her life so decided to allow nature take its course.
A HIQA report and a separate HSE review both criticised the handling of her case, but there was never a public admission of liability.
A medical negligence case was due to get underway today but a source confirmed last night that it has been settled out of court.
It will still have to come before Mr. Justice Kevin Cross this afternoon to finalise a number of matters.
