Teachers in Tipperary and across the country are to hold a one day strike action early next month in the row over the planned reform of the Junior Cert Cycle.
Both the ASTI and the TUI have rejected the most recent proposals put forward by Education Minister Jan O'Sullivan.

The unions – which represent 27,000 second level teachers – have already been mandated by their members for industrial action.
They will take to the picket lines on Tuesday December 2nd with a further day of action planned for January.
The teachers are objecting to the proposal that they would assess their own students.
