Second Dublin man pleads guilty in Killenaule case

The incident occurred at the home of Emma and Mark Corcoran and their three young daughters in Killenaule 2013.

At Clonmel Circuit Court today, the final two men, arrested by Gardaí in relation to the aggravated burglary entered guilty pleas ahead of their trial.

22 year old Dean Byrne, with an address of 27 Cabra Park, Cabra, Dublin 7 and 27 year old Patrick Gately, of 17 Primrose Grove, Darndale, Dublin 17 were both facing five charges relating to the incident at the home in November 2013. 

However, as jury selection was due to get underway this morning, Patrick Gately pleaded guilty…then after lunch; Dean Byrne also entered a guilty plea…both to one charge of aggravated burglary-which includes possession of weapons.

Judge Tom Teehan remanded both men in custody until November for sentencing. 

A total of 7 men have now pled guilty to charges connected to the raid on the family home in South Tipperary…it's expected that the men, all with addresses in Dublin, will be sentenced on the same day.
