Savage Sheep attack in Borrisokane

Tipperary dog owners are being urged to ensure their pets are secure at night as lambing season gets underway.

It follows a vicious attack on heavily pregnant ewes in the Borrisokane area in recent days.

Witnesses say two hunting type dogs were responsible for savaging the flock of up to fifty sheep.

Vet Bill Larkin who lives nearby witnessed the attack – he says people need to take responsibility for their dogs.
