Derek Russell is out of pocket to the tune of €14,500 as a result.

Since its inception some months ago the campaign has been trying to battle back against drugs, anti social behaviour and unemployment in the Roscrea area.

While significant progress has been made Derek Russell says he can no longer help people out himself.

He says he had to borrow money from friends and family to help people who came to his door saying they were in trouble due to a drugs debt.

Instead a group has been established within Roscrea Stands Up who can speak with people who find themselves in difficulty and hopefully help them out.
