Rockwell to host major Girl Guide camp

Ireland’s biggest ever international Girl Guide camp will be held at Rockwell College this summer.

18-hundred guides aged between 10 and 16 years old from all over the world will be coming to Tipperary for IGGNITE2017 for the first week in August.

Local and Irish Guides will be camping out with girls from Canada, the US, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Georgia and Zambia as well as England, Scotland and the North.

Camp Chief Jenny Gannon says Rockwell was the standout venue for an event this size when they were looking for locations.
