A truck driver is facing a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice after his vehicle was found to be over 6 tonne overweight by the Tipperary Roads Policing Unit yesterday.
The vehicle was observed by officers in Horse & Jockey and escorted to a designated weighbridge.
It weighed in at 38,400 kilos which is 6,400 overweight.
