The speed limits are changing on thousands of kilometres of local rural roads across Tipperary tomorrow.
It’s part of new national legislation that’s cutting the default speed limits in an effort to reduce road deaths.

There has been a lot of criticism locally due to confusion about what roads are changing.
But Tipperary County Council Senior Engineer James Murray says only the local rural roads are being cut to 60-kilometres an hour this weekend – that’s the L-roads outside of our towns and villages.
