People in the Ardfinnan area are being encouraged to attend an information meeting on plans for the bridge over the River Suir in the village.
They will have a chance to hear the situation regarding the Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge being considered by Tipperary County Council.
Its part of the non-statutory Public Consultation on the Emerging Preferred Option for the crossing.
The meeting will take place in Ardfinnan Community Centre on Thursday week – December 19th.
Local Councillor Micheál Anglim is encouraging people to attend and show their support for the project.
“It will be open from 2 o’clock in the afternoon until 8 o’clock that evening. Come in, you view it, you ask any questions you have but its so important that we fill out the questionnaire in support of what we’re at because there has to be no doubt that the people of Ardfinnan and surrounding areas have been wanting this for years now. And now we have it at our fingertips.
“We raged against the plan for having a footpath on the bridge – we’ve got to rage for this at the same level now.”
