A new Status Orange freezing fog warning has been issued for 21 counties including Tipperary.
Met Éireann is forecasting dense freezing fog this afternoon, and into the evening, leading to very hazardous driving conditions.
A Status Yellow low temperature/ice warning remains in place for the whole country.
The National Emergency Co-ordination Group have left it up to individual schools to decide on telling students to stay at home or not.
