Gardaí warning of dangers posed on the roads by mobile phone use

Mobile phones are killing road users in Tipperary.

That’s the blunt message this Bank Holiday weekend from a senior Garda in the Premier County

A road safety operation is in place for the Bank Holiday weekend to tackle the rising number of road deaths.

Thurles based Superintendent Eddie Golden says using mobile devices while on the road has become a huge issue.

He says using phones while driving, cycling, walking or any other mode of transport can kill you.
