There are renewed calls for a stretch of the N24 between Cahir and Bansha to be upgraded.
It follows the decision by the Government to proceed with a motorway from Limerick to Cork rather than an upgrade of the N24 between Limerick and Waterford.
This has led to fears that the stretch outside Cahir between Ballydrehid and Toureen will be ignored.
Councillor Andy Moloney says this part of the N24 is badly in need of major realignment works.
