Ardfinnan locals speak out against bridge plans

Locals in Ardfinnan have spoken out against Tipperary County Council’s long disputed plans for the bridge in the centre of the village.

The crossing, which is located in front of the school, has a temporary one way system in place for almost two years.

The people of Ardfinnan have been protesting against the traffic lights since they were informed at a public meeting that this was part of a larger plan to create a permanent one way system.

The works were deemed necessary to repair the bridge after years of flood damage and to create a pedestrian walkway on the bridge.
