10% of Irish motorists admit to having a drink before driving

10 per cent of Irish motorists have driven a vehicle after drinking in the past year.

The RSA research has been released ahead of the bank holiday weekend with Gardai warning people not to drink and drive.

95 people have lost their lives on our roads so far this year.

Moyagh Murdock, CEO of the RSA says it’s particularly worrying that 16 per cent of under 24s drank and drove in the past year.
