Funding has been secured for the N75 Road Improvement Scheme in Thurles.
The project includes road resurfacing on the Dublin Road, along with footpath upgrades, traffic calming measures, and flood mitigation on Kickham Street.
It had been delayed due to a lack of funding available from Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
Cllr Micheál Lowry says that has now been resolved and the job can go ahead:
“I can confirm funding discussions between Tipperary County Council’s roads capital section and TII, facilitated by Deputy Michael Lowry.
“Tipperary County Council were notified late last week that the funding required to undertake the N75 road improvement scheme in Thurles has now been sanctioned.”
