Results Day for Tipperary Junior Cert students

Over two thousand students in Tipperary will receive their Junior Cert results this morning.

They are among 59 thousand nationwide who sat the exams in June.

2,374 students in Tipperary will recieve their Junior Cert results this morning.

This is the highest number of students to sit the exams in recent years and is an increase of 3.4% on the number last year.

English, Mathematics, Civic Social & Political Education, Geography, History, Science and Irish are the top seven most popular subjects.

2012 also saw more students opting for higher level Maths with 48% of all learners sitting the higher papers.

Results will be available in schools this morning, with results also available on-line on www.examinations.ie from 4pm today.
