Reports of Spanish jet shadowed by French fighter plane

Passengers on board a holiday jet flying from Spain to Birmingham in the UK say it was shadowed by a French fighter plane for up to 15 minutes.

Low-cost carrier Jet2 claims the incident happened on Friday afternoon.

The company says it’s awaiting confirmation from French authorities on why the plane was tracked.
