According to the Washington Post several individuals linked to Russian authorities conducted a cyber attack to ensure Donald Trump was elected.
The newspaper reports the secret service has identified a number of people who provided thousands of hacked Democratic Party emails to Wikileaks.

However, President-elect Trump has previously said he's not convinced Vladimir Putin's regime was behind the cyber attacks.
