New figures from the Private Residential Tenancies Board shows that the average price for a dwelling in the Premier County increased by 4 euro in the third quarter of this year.
These latest figures published by the PRTB are compiled based on the rents paid for all dwellings including apartments and houses.
Overall there is a slight increase since June with the average rent now at 532 euro a month.
Some areas of Tipperary command higher rents for similar properties….a two bed in Tipperary town is 434 euro while the same type of house or apartment in Clonmel will cost 550 euro.
Similarly, there's a hundred euro difference in the rent asked for a four bed property in Cashel and Clonmel…517 compared with 617 euro.
On an annual basis nationally, rents were 5.6% higher in the third quarter of this year compared with the same period last year.
