A North Tipperary Councilor has sought clarification on a number of issues affecting the Fire Service in North Tipp.
Jim Ryan says fire brigades are no longer permitted to use chainsaws, while a hydraulic platform is lying idle in Thurles Fire Station.
County Manager Joe McGrath angrily denied this and said that claims of cuts to the fire service were irresponsible.
However, Councillor Ryan says he still needs clarification on the issue.
