South Tipperary bus commuters are set to step up their opposition to the possible removal of local services by the summer.
A stay of execution has been put on Bus Eireann's plans to drastically reduce the route of the Number 7 service which would have seen stops at Ardfinnan, Clogheen, Ballyporeen, Kilsheelan and Carrick axed.
The company insists its review of several routes is necessary as its losing thousands of Euro daily due to poor passenger numbers, however the firm's held off on plans to allow for negotiations.
A meeting is being organised in Carrick on Suir tonight for those opposed to the removal of the South Tipperary stops and those affected are being urged to attend.
It’s being held in the Carrig Hotel from 8 o'clock.
