Proposals to merge two Tipp Patricks Day Festivals

The merging of Carrick on Suir's St Patrick's Day Parade and the Clancy Brothers Music Festival is being explored.

The committees of both events have been under pressure due to the workload involved in organising them.

The Clancy Brothers Music Festival was first held over the June Bank Holiday weekend in 2008 and has grown down through the years.

A year later the towns St Patrick's Day Parade returned following a lapse of a number of years.

Ross Clery from the Clancy Brothers Music Festival says while they can see merit in combining forces they are also exploring other options.
