Property tax issue raised at Tipperary County Council.

Pressure is being put on the CEO of Tipperary County Council to ensure cuts are made to the property tax.

It's within the councils remit to reduce the controversial tax by up to 15%.

Councillor Jim Ryan tabled a motion at this weeks meeting requesting that the Council start the process to find ways of cutting the tax in its budget for 2015

He says it's up to CEO Joe McGrath to use the savings made by the merging of Tipperary two County Councils to benefit the people of the county.
