Council officials met with representatives from the Office of Public Works to discuss solutions to the recurring flooding issue.
Preliminary plans were studied and will now be brought to completion.

Fianna Fail Councillor Siobhán Ambrose says residents in the Marlfield area have had to put up with the problems for several years and she's confident that these plans will not be left to gather dust on a shelf.
