Price of Tipperary land falls in 2013

Land prices in Tipperary fell by over 25 percent last year….the biggest decrease in the country. 

The average price per acre in the county fell from just over 12 thousand euro in 2012 to 8 thousand 900 euro in 2013.

The survey, conducted by the Irish Farmer's Journal, showed that more land in Tipperary is going up for sale, with nearly 7 thousand acres available last year. 

Shirley Busteed from the Journal says that prices in 2012 jumped by 40 percent due to some large sales that year.
