The Social Protection Minister later confirmed her support for Mr Gilmore saying she has full confidence in him as leader.
However, today Phil Prendergast said she has no regrets about speaking her mind.
Meanwhile,
The MEP and her party leader are likely to come face to face later for the first time since the row over Eamon Gilmore's leadership.
Both are due to attend an event in Dublin tonight for the visit of the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz.
