A post mortem is expected to be carried out later on the body of a man in his forties, which was recovered yesterday evening during a search on Lough Derg in Co. Tipperary.

The operation began on Thursday, after a capsized speed boat was discovered.

The body was last night removed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick, where an autopsy is expected to be conducted today.

It's not yet clear whether the remains are those of the speed boat-owner.
