The figure for North Tipperary is slightly ahead of the national average with 10% being registered at the reduced €5 fee.

From the end of this month the registration fee will be €50 – all tanks have to be registered by the start of next February.

There are over 497 thousand tanks around the country, and so far, less than 46 thousand have been registered.
