Conor McGregor says the ‘metrics show’ the government does ‘not represent the people of Ireland’.

It comes after both the Taoiseach and Tánaiste said the former MMA fighter did not speak for the people of Ireland, when he criticised immigration policy during a visit to the White House yesterday.

McGregor met with Donald Trump and Elon Musk in the Oval Office to mark St. Patrick’s day.

It’s fuelled speculation he may try to run in the Irish presidential election later this year.

Ireland Editor with the Irish Independent – Thurles native Fionnan Sheehan – says McGregor getting on the presidential ticket is remote but not impossible.
