Newly elected Fianna Fáil TD for Tipperary North Ryan O’Meara is taking part in his first Parliamentary Party meeting today.
The 29 year old Cloughjordan resident is one of a new body of young Dáil members.
On Tipp Today earlier Ryan said this would provide a blend of youth and experience.
“I can see fully the importance of supporting young people and progressing them and pushing them through the political system where possible because that’s how we get real substantial change in the country is getting a new generation of politicians into local politics but also national politics.
“For example, Fianna Fáil has elected three TDs now under the age of 30. We have an awful lot of new faces going into Dáil Éireann – a new generation of Parliamentary Party along with the stable and experienced TDs and Minsters that are there.”
