A West Tipp based County Councillor says it’s time for change at the next General Election.
Independent County Councillor John O’Heney topped the poll in the Tipperary – Cashel LEA in this year’s local elections as a first time candidate.
He has now thrown his hat in the ring for the Tipperary South constituency whenever the election is called.
Councillor O’Heney told Tipp Today earlier that West Tipp is devoid of representation.
“There is a major void in West Tipperary. We have had very little representation at national level for a long period of time. No real impact or change has taken place in the area and there has been an era of populist politics here in South Tipperary for the last number of years. our representatives have just jumped upon topical issues and are consistently giving out.”
