Minister O’Donovan says the election will not be held in mid-December

The Higher Education Minister says the General Election won’t be held any later than the 6th of December.

It was thought it might be on the 15th or 22nd of November but the Green Party Leader Roderic O’Gorman has already expressed a preference for the 29th of November.

The Taoiseach Simon Harris who will be setting the date has only confirmed that he wants to have it on a Friday.

But speaking to Tipp FM news in Clonmel yesterday Minister Patrick O’Donovan said all he knows is that it won’t be held in the middle of December.
