The Green Party is still the tail wagging the dog in the Coalition according to Tipperary TD Mattie McGrath.
The Independent representative says the current situation relating to when the General Election will be held is farcical.
Having consistently said the Government would run its full term Taoiseach Simon Harris in recent days accepted the election would be held before the end of the year.
On Tipp Today earlier Mattie McGrath said both the Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil leaders have lost credibility.
“They’ve been consistently saying that there’d be no election until the end of term and no here we are – the genie is let out of the bottle by the Green Party leader when he said it would be the 29th of November.
“Then the three parties had to have a meeting – they have to have a meeting now if they want to have a cup of coffee I’d say. This is the way the government is being ran. But it seems that the Green tail is still wagging the dog here as well in that the election is being called when they announced it – unless the Taoiseach now just to save face may put it back until the 6th of December.”
