McGrath calls for task force to tackle dereliction and anti-social behaviour in Clonmel

A local TD has told the Dáil that’s there’s an urgent need for a task force to rescue Clonmel town centre.

Mattie McGrath says there needs to be a group in charge of combatting dereliction and anti-social behaviour.

The Independent Deputy says the problems are getting worse not better.

The issue of will brought to the attention of the Justice Minister.

Deputy McGrath says Clonmel businesses are finding it really difficult to keep their heads above water and feel they are not being supported by the government.

Junior Minister Kieran O’Donnell outlined measures that have been put in place to help.

And he says he will bring the issues raised to the appropriate ministers.
