British Prime Minister Theresa May’s described claims she’s at loggerheads with the European Commission president over Brexit negotiations as “Brussels gossip”.

It follows reports that Jean-Claude Juncker left talks in Downing Street last week feeling 10 times more sceptical than he’d been before.

It’s after a difficult weekend for Mrs May where the Kenny text – recognising the possibility of a united Ireland – was enshrined in the EU’s negotiation guidelines.

But the British Prime Minister has brushed off the reports.
