Tipperary Deputy Michael Lowry says democracy has prevailed following the Dáil vote on the confidence motion in Verona Murphy.
The Thurles TD was at the centre of the controversy which led to the vote as the Ceann Comhairle was criticised for her handling of the speaking rights row.
Michael Lowry says the Government must now be permitted to get on with their work in the face of the unprecedented challenges that lie ahead for Ireland and Europe.
He has told Tipp FM News that the opposition parties have crippled proceedings with venom and spite.
Labour Deputy Alan Kelly told Tipp Today he accepts that it’s time to move on.
However he feels the coalition will not survive the full term.
Also on Tipp Today earlier North Tipp Fianna Fáil Deputy Ryan O’Meara said he is hoping the Dáil can now finally get down to business.
