Irish citizens in Ukraine advised to leave when safe

The Department of Foreign Affairs is advising Irish citizens in Ukraine to consider leaving, if it’s safe to do so.

Around 70 Irish people are in the country – they’ve been told to shelter in a secure place.

A dedicated helpline has been set up for anyone who needs consular assistance.

The Department also says it remains in direct contact with the families who have a surrogacy arrangement in the country.
