Plaque erected in Cahir to Titanic victims

A plaque commemorating victims of the Titanic from the Cahir area, in South Tipperary, has been unveiled in Castle Street, Cahir  this afternoon.   A large crowd   turned out to mark the historic moment.
Meanwhile a new memorial to the Titanic has been unveiled in the grounds of Belfast City Hall today.
The names of more than 15-hundred men, women and children are engraved on it, in alphabetical order.
Many of their relatives laid white flowers during the inter-denominational service.
