The site, on Cathedral Street in the town will consist of dedicated GP surgeries, client facilities, cafes and children’s play area
It will be built on the existing Munster Hotel site by Twomileborris native Martin Healy who bought the property late last year with the intention of overhauling it.
Planning permission documents have now been lodged with Tipperary County Council for the project, which will cost in the region of €3.2 million.
Martin Healy says the plans include the complete refurbishment of the building
It will be serviced by an existing car park to the rear of the building with around 100 parking spaces.
The plans have been broadly welcomed by locals in the town, especially with the creation of 80 full time jobs along with the employment boost expected during construction.
Approval for the plans now lies with Tipperary County Council – a decision is expected in the coming months.
