The “Barack Obama Plaza” would create 75 jobs in the construction phase with 50 permanent jobs when complete.

Following lengthy pre-planning consultations with North Tipp County Council, its hoped construction can start in the autumn with a likely opening date of St Patrick's Day 2013.

The project would include a service station, a food court, a Supermac's, a pizza outlet and a convenience store on the 12 acre site.
