Coolmore Stud's John Magnier is reported to have paid €2.75 million for the property.

Some locals have expressed concerns at the apparent lack of progress being made on redeveloping the hotel.

However speaking on Tipp Today Cashel based Councillor Tom Wood said the developers want to ensure there will be no delays once the planning application is submitted to Tipperary County Council.
