Tipp retirement village proposals rejected

Plans for a retirement village in a south Tipp town have been shot down.

The proposals from Piltown based Ger Norris were for 50 apartments in one or two bed units at Glenconnor in Clonmel.

This was rejected by Tipperary County Council on a number of grounds – a decision which was appealed to An Bord Pleanála.

An inspector from the planning appeals board also recommended refusal which was the decision issued by An Bord Pleanála.
