Ryan calls for planning guidelines for vape shops

A Thurles councillor is calling for tighter planning policies on where vape-shops are allowed to operate.

Jim Ryan says he’s concerned over the number of new shops opening up to sell e-cigarettes near schools.

He says disposable vapes are soon going to be banned and age restriction put in place on these products due to the environmental and physical damage they can do.

Cllr Ryan says there should be planning guidelines on where they can open.
